 FWA Hotwired Thread
« Thread Started on Sept 6, 2003, 8:53am »

Two matches have been signed for Hotwired on September 21st:
Jack Xavier and Jody Fleisch will face off one more time. Both these men were knocked out of the number one contenders tournament at Vendetta, and have since had classic matches against each other on the Northern Exposure Tour and at Newport.
The number one contenders tournament will see a winner as Flash Barker and James Tighe face off to see who will challenge Doug Williams. Flash Barker is a former FWA Champion and is itching to get the title back. James Tighe is fresh off the victory in the three way dance in Newport against Barker and Doug Williams. In that match Tighe pinned Williams. Who will be number one contender?
Saturday sees the return of Job Squad, after a long gap since Frontiers of Honor. It will be the first Job Squad on a Saturday night and if successful could see many more Saturday Job Squads. Wham Tapes are putting together a top line up of recent matches for the big screen projection. Doors open earlier this time at 5pm and the bar closes at 11pm. See events for venue details.
Tickets for Hotwired will be on sale next week. The exact day for tickets for Fan Club Members and for General Public will be announced on Monday.
The FWA are set to invade All-Star Wrestling in Croydon next Tuesday as FWA Tag Team Champions The Family defend their titles against Alex Shane and Nikita in what might be a first for Croydon - an all out FWA style weapons are legal tag team title match. FWA fans are encouraged to be a part of this night of action which will also include several other FWA regulars on the bill.
Jonny Storm has returned today from his tour of the US. Doug Williams and Ulf Herman are set for a tour of Germany in late September with EWP.
The PWI 500 has been released and FWA Champion Doug Williams has moved up to 113. Jody Fleisch is 123 and Jonny Storm 129. FWA international stars who made the list include AJ Styles who impressively is rated 11, former FWA Champ Chris Daniels at 20, Low Ki at 16, Jerry Lynn is 29, Paul London 41, American Dragon 61, Juventud Guerrera 90, Chris Hamrick is 203 amd Supercrazy is 278.
As is widely known The Amazing Red suffered a knee injury which will put him out of action for several months. He will now be able to appear at Uprising II. A replacement is being sought and negotiations continue with other talent to appear on the supershow.
The FWA are starting up an A5 zine and we need your help. We are looking for writers to cover everything to do with FWA. If you think you can help at all please e-mail fwamagazine@hotmail.com. We need staff so please get in touch.
Various bus trips are being organised by fans from different parts of the country to Uprising II on October 18th at York Hall. For details please see the pinned topics in the FWA Fan Forum.
